What is the module for the TDI tuning? The Vtech Tuning digital module is a kind of electronic device mounted on the line for control and measurement of the state of TDi and HDI engine pumps. A microprocessor contained inside detects the degree of a significant rise in the load and consequently increases the rate of fuel delivery by means of commands sent to the CAN-Bus (a transmission bus controlling a HDI engine equipment) or through direct pump control. This alters the supercharging pressure a little increasing it slightly by 0.1 – 0.15 bar. Due to the TDi engine depletion effect the dose is increased somewhat over the standard amount resulting from the pressure rise. Also, the fuel injection angle is adjusted depending on the revolution rate and the load. A TDi engine modified in this way can improve its power by 15% - 20%, and the torque up to 25% without any or with a very insignificant increase in fuel consumption. New modules are executed in the ADSP (Advanced Digital Processing System) technology. Advanced digital processing means, that no elements of the module change their parameters depending on time and temperature changes. They do not become older and control your engine unfailingly. A new strategy of control adjusted to your needs is calculated twenty thousand times a second by the micro-controller, which at the very same time prevents the engine from overload and wear. This state-of-the-art technology providing for safety and impressive performance is unique to our solutions. Important: We would like to stress that our products are in no way weaker (i.e. do not offer a smaller rise in the power and torque) than products of the competition. Our latest solutions seem to hold the competitive edge of superiority over the products of other companies, because they feature a possibility for the fuel injection angle modification. Consequently, as we appreciate the truth and reliable information for our customers, we claim that the values shown above are true and, due to physical effects, beyond any further improvement (the value of the tdi depletion factor equals max. 15% at the full load, as this value ensures the highest energy expenditure from one liter of diesel oil. Both Bosch and Lucas – manufacturers of injection systems – consistently refer to this percentage). If an attempt is made to make a car stronger by more than 15% through diesel oil addition (by 20%, considering an increase in the supercharging pressure, which follows) – smoke is going to show up. Performance may be additionally increased by appropriate injection angle adjustment, which has been introduced in our digital modules, but so far not in any other competitive analogue and semi-digital solutions. Thus, any information about a 30-40% increase is just a tall tale – either a cheap marketing catchphrase, or a proof of ignorance about the laws of physics.
